Silver Finance, Gota de Leche’s First Private Business Partner

Silver Finance, one of the leading lending companies in the country, recently became the first business group from the Private Sector to partner with Gota de Leche.  According to their HR Manager Ms Daph Chua, their concern for the welfare of malnourished and disabled kids is connected to the personal mission of the company’s leader Mr Dennis Sunga. His goal has always been to share the blessings of their company via their CSR program. Mr Sunga is married to Cecile, the youngest child of Helen Recto Zamora, who was a long-time Gota de Leche benefactor.

In the past years, Silver Finance has organized medical missions and feeding programs all over the Philippines. Last March, the company started participating in Gota de Leche’s Milk distribution program (Program 1). Ms Daph Chua shared that  9 volunteers from Silver Finance will be present on a rotational system every feeding day, to raise employee awareness and compassion about the condition of undernourished and special-needs kids of Gota.

As a token of gratitude, the staff and officers of Gota de Leche presented the volunteers, friends, and officers of Silver Finance with plaques of appreciation. There was a simple “salu-salo” for everyone, and Gota de Leche’s children with needs and their guardians even had special gifts to bring home from Silver Finance.

It is important to note that most of the Silver Finance volunteers are millennials (a large percentage of their employees is in this age group, according to Ms Chua). Their eagerness to help with the feeding and medical check-up and to learn about the history and legacy of Gota de Leche, is one of the most beautiful silver linings we have witnessed in our first ever partnership with a private business group.
